Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage that Appicker.com uses, why we use them, and how you can change your choice. It works together with our Privacy Policy.

Your Choice

On your first visit we show a small cookie banner. You can accept analytics cookies and session recordings, reject them, or pick in Customize. Both stay off until you accept them, and the switch is never on by default. The store works the same either way.

Necessary Cookies

These keep the store working and are always on. They are set by Appicker.com itself and are never used for analytics or advertising.

  • appicker_consent: remembers your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again on every page. 12 months.
  • _medusa_cart_id: remembers the items in your cart. Up to 7 days.
  • _medusa_cache_id: a random ID that keeps your cart and order pages fast and correct. It is set only once you have a cart or open an order page. 24 hours.

We also keep two small flags in your browser session (session storage), which your browser deletes when you close the tab: one so the home page animation plays once per visit, and one that lets a page reload itself once after we update the site.

Counting Visits Without Cookies

If you reject analytics cookies, or before you choose, we still count visits, but in cookieless mode: nothing is stored in your browser. For each page view, PostHog computes an anonymous code on its own servers from the date, your IP address, your browser type and our site name, using a secret that is replaced every day. The code is not stored in your browser, it does not tell us who you are, and it changes the next day, so a visit today cannot be linked to a visit tomorrow. This only tells us how many people visit each day and what they look at.

Where the Data Goes

Analytics requests go through our own domain first, so your browser does not contact PostHog directly. PostHog keeps our analytics data in its United States region. PostHog uses your IP address to estimate your country. We do not use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, advertising cookies or social media trackers, and we do not sell your data.

Payment and Security Cookies From Other Companies

At checkout and on forms, Stripe, PayPal and Cloudflare load their own scripts and may set their own cookies or storage to take payments safely and to stop fraud, spam and abuse (for example the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check). They are covered by their own privacy policies.

How to Change Your Choice

Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page, turn Analytics on or off and save, or use Accept all or Reject all. When you turn analytics off, we stop recording right away, delete the PostHog cookie and local storage from your browser and go back to counting visits without cookies. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; the banner will then ask again. Your choice is kept for 12 months, after which we ask again.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
