Which plan should I choose?

All three plans have the same recovery features. What changes is how many computers you can use it on, how long upgrades last, and whether you may recover data for clients as a paid service.

Recovering your own files on one computer: choose Professional. Take 1 Year for a single job or a short stretch of use, or Lifetime Upgrade if you expect to come back to it over the years. Recovering data for clients as a paid service, or using it on many computers in one company: choose Technician.

Which versions of Windows does it run on?

Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 and 7 SP1, and Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012, 2008 and 2003. AOMEI lists 1 GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM and 70 MB of disk space as minimum hardware.

Which file systems and drives does it support?

NTFS, FAT32, exFAT and ReFS, on HDD, SSD, USB flash drives, SD cards, PCs, laptops and cameras.

Can it recover files after the Recycle Bin is emptied or a drive is formatted?

AOMEI lists accidental deletion, emptied Recycle Bin, formatted drive, virus attack and crashed system as scenarios it handles. Recovery is never guaranteed, so scan with the free edition first if you are unsure.

How do I get my license?
