AOMEI Backupper Technician

AOMEI Backupper Technician and Technician Plus are the editions AOMEI sells to IT service providers and companies with many machines. One license covers unlimited PCs (Technician) or unlimited PCs and servers (Technician Plus), and it allows billable technical service for clients. Both bundle backup, restore, clone and sync with technician tools such as a portable version, image deployment and a PXE boot tool.

Which plan should I choose?

Choose Technician if you look after many Windows PCs, or provide paid backup service to clients, and no servers are involved. Choose Technician Plus if you also protect Windows Servers. If you only have one machine, a single license such as Professional, Workstation or Server is the closer fit.

Using it for clients

• One license is valid for a single technician (or IT professional, administrator). It can be used on unlimited PCs, including the PCs of several clients at the same time.
• If you keep AOMEI Backupper on a client's computer after the service ends, that client needs their own license. Otherwise, uninstall it when the job is done.

What the extra tools mean

• PXE boot tool: starts client computers over your local network, handy for system maintenance.
• Image deploy tool: sends one system image to many computers over the network.
• Portable version: runs AOMEI Backupper from a removable drive on a target computer without installing it.

Lifetime Upgrades or 1 Year?

• Lifetime Upgrades: a one time payment. AOMEI's upgrade policy says customers who bought Lifetime Upgrades get every major upgrade and every latest version for free.
• 1 Year: the code is valid for the plan term and does not renew automatically. Pick it if you only need the tools for a year.

Which versions of Windows does it run on?

Technician covers Windows 11, 10, 8.1/8 and 7. AOMEI also lists Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012 and SBS 2011 for the editions that cover servers. It is Windows software only.

Can I use it for my clients?

Yes. AOMEI's Technician editions let one technician use a single license on unlimited PCs and provide billable technical service to clients. If you leave the software installed on a client's computer after the service ends, that client needs their own license.

Can I use Technician on servers?

AOMEI lists Technician for unlimited Windows PCs. Technician Plus is the edition that covers unlimited PCs and servers.

Does the 1 Year plan renew automatically?

No. A 1 Year code is valid for the term of the plan and does not renew automatically.
