QSpace Pro from the official QSpace site and the QSpace edition in the Mac App Store are two ways to buy the same dual-pane file manager, and the site edition is the one with a 30-day free trial. It is a one-time purchase that one account can use on at most two devices at once. The Mac App Store edition has no trial and no refund, according to the developer's pricing page.
Everything below comes from QSpace's official pricing page, read on 2026-10-24. The developer was running a flash sale when we checked, so prices will change. We say where we could not confirm something.
What is the difference between QSpace Pro and the App Store version?
The pricing page lists them side by side. These are the points it states clearly:
| QSpace Pro (official site) | QSpace (Mac App Store) | |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase type | One time ("Purchase Once, Use Forever") | One time |
| Free trial | 30 days | None |
| Return | Within 3 days | None listed |
| Devices | One account on at most two devices at the same time | Not stated on the page |
| Price on 2026-10-24 (flash sale, before tax) | $13.99, crossed out from $29.99 | $12.99, crossed out from $27.99 |
| Extensions | Sold separately | Sold separately |
Both prices are labelled "without extensions". That means the price covers the base app. Extra tools such as Stash Shelf, Advanced Batch Rename and Server Connections are sold separately, at $0.99 each during the sale (their list prices are higher). Enhanced Archiver was listed as free. The pricing page marks these as extensions, so check what you actually need before you assume the base app covers it.
QSpace also publishes a page titled "What's the difference between QSpace and QSpace Pro?" in its FAQ. It has a feature table, such as invitation codes, QSpace Desktop and which terminals can be launched. We could not read its columns reliably when we checked, so we do not repeat the feature differences here. Open that page before you buy if one specific feature decides it for you.
How much does QSpace Pro cost?
At the time of writing, the official site lists QSpace Pro at $13.99 in a flash sale, with $29.99 shown as the regular price. Treat $29.99 as the number to plan around, because a sale can end without notice. The same page lists the Mac App Store edition at $12.99, crossed out from $27.99.
The two editions are close in price, so price is rarely the reason to choose one over the other. The trial and refund terms are the bigger difference.
Is QSpace Pro a subscription?
No. The official site describes it as a one-time purchase. We did not find a statement about whether future major versions will be covered, so if that matters to you, ask the developer before buying.
How many Macs can you use it on?
The pricing page says one account can be used on at most two devices at the same time. That is enough for a desktop and a laptop. If you swap machines often, the official wording about "at the same time" is worth reading closely, and we recommend checking QSpace's support pages for the exact steps to move a license.
What are the system requirements?
According to the official site, the current version is QSpace Pro 7.0.4 and it runs on macOS 10.15 or later, on both Intel and Apple silicon Macs. The version number may have moved on by the time you read this.
Which should you choose?
| If this describes you | Better fit |
|---|---|
| You want to test it on your real files for a month first | QSpace Pro from the official site (30-day trial) |
| You want a return window if it is not for you | QSpace Pro from the official site (3 days listed) |
| You like to keep all purchases under your Apple Account | The Mac App Store edition, after reading the FAQ feature table |
| You need a specific Pro feature | Check the official comparison page first |
| You are happy with Finder | Try the 30-day trial, or stay with Finder, which is free |
A sensible order is to download the trial from the official site, use it for a week or two, and buy only if it has replaced Finder for you. If you plan to buy the Pro license through a reseller, install the trial first so you know it works on your Mac.
Where do our QSpace codes come from?
Appicker sells QSpace Pro license codes for the official-site edition, not the Mac App Store edition. The codes are supplied through DigitaLychee, the distributor we get them from. You redeem them through DigitaLychee, and the steps are in our guide on how to redeem your license via DigitaLychee. A code cannot be refunded after you redeem it, so use the free trial first.
If you decide it suits you, the QSpace Pro product page has the current options.
